|FACILITATORS||Andrea Severson, t.L.M.H.C., M.Div. is a mental healthcounselor and spiritual director at Des Moines PastoralCounseling Center. Her degrees include a Master ofScience in counseling from Drake University and aMaster of Divinity from Perkins School of Theologyat Southern Methodist University. She holds acertificate in spiritual direction and is an ordainedelder in the United Methodist Church. Andreais a member of the American Mental HealthCounselors Association and Spiritual Directors International.Diane McClanahan, B.S.N., M.Div. is the Director of Leadership and Spiritual Life at the Des Moines PastoralCounseling Center, and a survivor of suicide loss.
As a board member of the Iowa Chapter of the
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
she focuses on suicide education for the
community both as a Soul Shop trainer for
faith community leaders and as an ASIST
(Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) trainer
for LivingWorks. Diane holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Duke University and a master of divinity degree from Yale Divinity School. She is an ordained United Methodist minister, a spiritual director, clergy coach, church consultant and conflict mediator.
