Donating to the Center’s Counseling Assistance
Your gift to the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center will provide hope and healing for a child or adult who seeks healing and relief from a variety of symptoms related to excessive stress, loss, debilitating chronic or terminal illness, abuse, violence, life transitions and upheavals.
Counseling assistance increases access to services and is the best preventative measure for psychological health and well being. The skill, compassion and expertise provided by our highly-credentialed counselors are crucial to supporting individuals and families as they struggle through life’s challenges. The whole community benefits as each individual/each family takes steps, through counseling, toward emotional stability and then social maturity and economic self-sufficiency, building the foundation for productive members of our community.
For over 45 years, the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center has provided counseling to people from the full spectrum of socio-economic means. Some of our clients have insurance or personal funds to pay for the counseling they need. For our uninsured, underinsured, and lower- and moderate-income clients, the Center provides a sliding scale for payment, based on income and family size. Again, we are able to offer our counseling on this ability-to-pay basis thanks to contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and congregations.
Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center is able to provide help through quality affordable counseling on an ability-to-pay basis thanks to donations from individuals like you. Please consider a contribution of cash or stock to support our work with clients who could not otherwise have access to the hope and healing of counseling.
