|FACILITATORS||Andrea Severson, t.L.M.H.C., M.Div. is a mental health counselor and spiritual director at Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center. Her degrees include a Master of Science in counseling from Drake University and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. She holds a certificate in spiritual direction and is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. Andrea is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and Spiritual Directors International.
Diane McClanahan, B.S.N., M.Div. is the Director of Leadership and Spiritual Life at the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center, and a survivor of suicide loss. As a board member of the Iowa Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, she focuses on suicide education for the community both as a Soul Shop trainer for faith community leaders and as an ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) trainer for LivingWorks. Diane holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Duke University and a master of divinity degree from Yale Divinity School. She is an ordained United Methodist minister, a spiritual director, clergy coach, church consultant and conflict mediator.
